Bangkok (Thailand) – November 26, 2015 (travelindex) – Best Western International has confirmed the opening of its mid-scale BEST WESTERN hotel in the central Sukhumvit district of Bangkok, which is its seventh hotel in the city, making Best Western one of the biggest hotel groups in Bangkok – Asia’s most visited city.
“Tourism in Bangkok is a huge success story and Best Western is delighted to play such a major part in it,” said Ron Pohl, Best Western International’s Senior Vice President of Brand Management.
“The world’s appetite for the Thai capital appears to be insatiable, with visitor numbers to the city now rebounding strongly from 2014. With its unsurpassed shopping, dining and spa offerings, many iconic attractions and an exciting, vibrant atmosphere, Bangkok is rightly one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.

Located on Sukhumvit Soi 16, in the heart of Bangkok’s main business and entertainment district, the new Best Western will offer 75 modern rooms, all equipped with comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel will also include a restaurant serving both local and international cuisine, a fitness center and meeting space.
Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2016, the new hotel will join the six existing Best Western hotels in Bangkok: Best Western Premier Sukhumvit, Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport, Best Western Plus at 20 Sukhumvit, Best Western Plus Grand Howard, Best Western Mayfair Suites and Best Western Klassique Sukhumvit.
And the company is also considering plans for further hotels in Bangkok, including the potential launch of its new lifestyle boutique hotel concept, Vib, and Best Western Executive Residency.
