Appointment in London Strengthen Dusit Sales

Bangkok, August 27, 2013 – Dusit International announces a new senior appointment to boost European driven business in their London Regional Sales Office. Ms. Maria Calvo joins the company in the role of Regional Senior Sales Manager responsible for the Spanish, Italian and Benelux markets, in addition to select UK accounts.

Ms. Calvo hails from the La Mancha region of Spain and started her hotel career at Choice Hotels in Brussels, Belgium. She was then focused on developing the Iberian and Benelux markets at InterContinental Hotels Group in London prior to her most recent role as Key Account Manager, where she focused on the UK and Irish market for both corporate transient and business events.

She holds a degree in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Alicante, Spain and a specialist certificate in International Trade from the Open University of Spain. In addition to being fluent in Spanish she speaks several languages including English, French, Italian and Catalan.

She joins a strong team led by Ms. Anita Skibiel, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing UK and Europe. With over a decade’s experience as Director of Global Sales with Starwood Hotels and Resorts UK, Ms. Skibiel and her team oversee and develop Dusit International’s UK, European and Scandinavian accounts across the MICE, corporate and leisure market segments.
