Innovative Indian Wine Pairing Event

travelindex-hotels-travel-directory-1647Bangkok (Thailand) – May 5, 2015 – Bangkok’s inaugural pairing of traditional Indian Cuisine and fine wines hit the right note for foodie fans at the ‘Signature Bawarchi Wine Pairing Dinners.’ Held at Bawarchi Chid Lom on Wednesday 8th April, and Bawarchi Sathorn on Friday 10th April, guests experienced a 6-course Northern Indian menu, paired with wine varieties from all over the world.

“This was the first of its kind of event in Thailand and guests were awed by the unique combination of Indian dishes and wines. The fruitiness and distinctive nuances in each wine were expertly matched with the food,” says Mr. Vinay Chawla, Vice President of Bawarchi International Group.

Tandoori Jhinga (Prawn) – Corte Giara Prosecco, Italy
King prawns steeped in roasted mustard seeds and caraway, flamed in the tandoor and served with pineapple-chili chutney
Bawarchi Bharwaan Paneer Tikka – Little Yerling Chardonnay, Australia
Skewered paneer cubes, marinated in a medley of spices and stuffed with mint chutney, grilled in the earthen oven
Tandoori Malai Broccoli – Santa Helena Siglo De Olo Sauvignon Blanc, Chile
Fresh broccoli marinated in a velvety mix of cream cheese, cardamom and black salt, served with apple and pomegranate chutney
Tandoori Chaap – Tareni Del Duca Syrah, Italy
Spring lamb chops marinated in fenugreek and mustard oil infused yogurt, finished over hot coals
