BUMI Art Exhibition at Pullman Jakarta Central Park
Jakarta (Indonesia) – November 11, 2014 – Pullman Jakarta Central Park is presenting an art exhibition BUMI by Indonesian artists, Laksmi Shitaresmi and Anggar Prasety. Taking place at Collage Foyer – L Floor, the exhibition is launched on Wednesday, 26 November 2014 and opens for the public from 27 November – 6 December 2014.
According to Laksmi Shitaresmi, the earh is the home of the Almighty’s living creation which contains all natural resources including the life of the mankind with its encompassing aspects. Earth continuance depends on the stance and behavior of human beings which lead to earth’s conservation as well as destruction. It will heartily sustain by trustworthy conducts or rapidly perish by irresponsible interventions.
Laksmi is a natural-born-artist. She shows her artwork in Indonesia-Japan Painting Exhibition in Tokyo, 1987. Her sculptures are focused on symbols that represent her concepts and ideas. She actively participates in various group exhibitions from 1991 to present. Her daily life as a housewife takes a big part in giving her thoughts that she then expresses through her artworks.
Anggar Prasetyo started showing his artworks when he joined the Sketch Exhibition and Painting at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta in 1991. As a Visual Artist, he specializes in the illusion of 3-dimensional techniques with elements of art emphasizing manual techniques, instead of digital printing technology.
Following in the footsteps of Pullman’s global commitment to contemporary art, Pullman Jakarta Central Park offers exhibition and hosts the opening night for the local artists and “BUMI” is the third art exhibition by Pullman Jakarta Central Park in relation to the on-going development of art within the region which is presents 8 paintings and 5 statues which are available for sale
