GCommerce Solutions Announces Geo-targeting Functionality

This functionality allows for GCommerce clients to customize certain components of their website to present tailored messaging to specific website visitors.

Dynamic Targeting allows for pieces of your website such as merchandising areas, deals and offers pages, and even interstitial advertising to be set to display only to certain website visitors based on a variety of behavioral factors. A common way to target is based on the website visitor’s geographic location. International website visitors, for example, could be presented the hotel’s current international promotion, which is typically not a high priority promotion in terms of website real estate. Presenting this type of promotion only to website visitors located outside of the US will dramatically increase the performance of an offer of this type.

For the initial rollout of this new website functionality, GCommerce has partnered with Starwood Capital to install Dynamic Targeting for their Postcard Inn brand hotels. Postcard Inn St. Pete Beach, who recently launched a new site developed by GCommerce fully equipped with Dynamic Targeting, intends to use this new functionality to market to Florida residents, local residents of St. Petersburg, and travelers coming from outside of Florida completely separate from one another.
