Tourism Boom for Thailand Predicts Bangkok Hotel GM

travel-image-20Bangkok (Thailand)- March 14, 2016 ( – Thailand’s tourism future is looking brighter than ever. That’s the view of Klaus Sennik, a seasoned veteran of the country’s hospitality sector and General Manager of the iconic Ramada Plaza Bangkok Menam Riverside hotel.

Speaking in Berlin, where he was representing the hotel at the city’s annual ITB travel trade fair, Klaus Sennik said that Thailand could expect another year of impressive growth.

“We have had some very positive and encouraging discussions with travel trade buyers from a broad range of sources markets. We will continue to strengthen our ties with leading German operators and continue our partnership arrangements with local and international agents,” said Klaus Sennik. “They love the food, the weather, the shopping, the attractions and, most of the all, the genuine warmth of the Thai people.

“I was delighted to meet once again Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports Khun Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul who found time to visit our exhibition stand at ITB, Berlin. She is very confident that Thailand will receive well over 30 million international visitors in 2016 and I certainly share her upbeat forecast.”

Klaus Sennik pledged continued support to the Tourism Authority of Thailand offices in German-speaking nations with their efforts to promote Thailand’s many tourist attractions and he was very pleased to welcome TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn to the hotel’s exhibition stand.

“European guests in particular enjoy our riverside location in Bangkok with easy access to the city’s popular shopping and tourist attractions. The Chinese market will also continue to expand this year as the expanding middle class in China continues to venture overseas to destinations in north east and south east Asia,” explained Klaus Sennik. “Although it’s a considerable distance from mainland USA, Bangkok continues to appeal to seasoned travellers. Tourists from Australia and New Zealand are making use of excellent connectivity to visit Thailand in large numbers. This will, for sure, be another amazing year for Thailand’s tourism.”
