Bangkok (Thailand) – September 5, 2013 – Last month, a team of 10 staff members from Lisu Lodge participated in a whitewater rafting training course. The training was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and took place at Wild Planet Camp near the Mae Tang River, Chiang Mai.
About 70 people took part in the training. All of them are whitewater rafting guides from local tour operators in Chiang Mai. During the 3 day training, conducted by experienced whitewater rafting professionals, they studied safety practices and how to use the equipment properly. Everyone who passed the training will receive a certificate from the Ministry of Tourism.
This training was especially useful to our Lisu staff members who will be able to run white water rafting tours for our guests with more confidence than ever.
