Ramada Plaza Bangkok Menam Riverside Helping Locals

travel-image-2Bangkok (Thailand) – August 25, 2016 (travelindex) – The annual Ting Kra Jard Chinese ceremony of giving alms to communities located in the vicinity of the Ramada Plaza Bangkok Menam Riverside was held on 20 August. Ting Kra Jard translates as Throwing the Basket Ceremony and has been performed every year since the hotel opened in 1986.

This year the hotel donated 1,200 packs of rice and dry food items to nine local communities. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Bangkolam district and Wat Phraya Krai police station who assisted the hotel’s management and staff in the distribution of items to those in need.

“Giving back to our local communities is an important part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme,’ explained hotel General Manager Klaus Sennik.
