Joie De Vivre Set to Open Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

news_04 Apr. 06, 2013San Francisco, CA (USA) – April 6, 2013 – Following the success of Coconut Waikiki Hotel, Joie de Vivre Hotels introduces Shoreline Hotel Waikiki—its second property in Hawaii—marking the company’s ongoing expansion outside of California. Formerly known as the Seaside Hotel Waikiki, the reimagined property will be re-launched as Shoreline Hotel Waikiki after major renovations are completed this April.

Located just steps from the world-famous Waikiki Beach, the 135-room property is a serene sanctuary in the heart of Honolulu’s premier shopping and dining district. With its prime location, Shoreline offers its guests proximity to both picturesque beachfront and area hotspots, along with the subtle sophistication and fresh ambience that Joie de Vivre is known for.

“Shoreline brings a truly boutique and fresh hotel product to the Hawaiian market,” says Niki Leondakis, CEO of Commune Hotels & Resorts, Joie de Vivre’s parent company. “The carefree spirit and warmth of the Joie de Vivre brand is reflected in the property, which marries daring design, individualized services and amenities in one of the world’s most coveted beach destinations.”

Shoreline combines understated luxury with modernistic intention. From the engaging open-air lobby to the creatively designed, layered room spaces, the property appeals to the senses and sensibilities of both singles and couples seeking a peaceful retreat with a romantic edge.

Inspired by 1970s architecture and modernism, Shoreline will offer an alluring look and feel, as envisioned by award-winning designer, Anthony Laurino. The genuine spirit of Hawaii is present in the bold ‘70s shapes and the natural forms of local flora and fauna throughout the property. The Art Deco-inspired palette, seen throughout the interiors and exterior façade, utilizes natural tones and materials with romantic accents of dusty sea foam and warm tangerine.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a warm Aloha and presented with a lush lei. As they step into the expansive lobby, they will be treated to designs, textures, finishes and fabrics that nurture a rapport between Hawaiian culture and modernity. From the collection of custom furnishings by Eric Brand to evocative nature photography in every room by local artist Michele McCarthy, Shoreline embodies a subtle sophistication and character unique to the local hospitality landscape. Stylistic and functional, guestrooms will feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions, mini fridges, microwaves and private balconies designed to optimize island breezes and allow guests to soak in the cityscape. The hotel’s top floors include four suites with sweeping views of sea and city, and skyline views are nearly standard for every room.

Shoreline Hotel Waikiki joins Coconut Waikiki Hotel as part of Joie de Vivre’s Hawaiian portfolio. For more information or to book, please visit www.jdvhotels.com or call 855-931-2444.
