From Tea Leaves to Tea Cup

hotels-travel-index-596Lisu Village (Thailand) – August 10, 2014 – The area near Lisu Lodge is evergreen hills, small creeks and beautiful farmland with fertile soil. As a community-based lodge, we have the opportunity to engage in different projects with the local community. Our latest project is to work with hill tribe villagers at a tea plantation.

Soon, our guests will be able to visit our tea farm and learn about the traditional tea making process, starting from the fields to the tea cup. We plan to offer the tea experience at the tea farm near the lodge. Guests of Lisu Lodge will visit our tea farm and learn about the traditional tea-making process, starting from the fields to the tea cup. They can also join a cycling tour to explore the tea trail.

About Lisu Lodge:
Built in traditional Lisu style with an eye for western comforts, the lodge overlooks the lush fields and hills surrounding the valley and serves as your base camp for a magical blend of adventure, relaxation and insight. During the tour, a family elder will guide you around the village to introduce you to Lisu customs and culture. You will view the local shrine, admire the work of skilled silversmiths and marvel at fine embroidery work, and perhaps even be invited into someone’s home to share some tea.

A wide variety of packages, from day visits to multiple overnights are available for your choice, including hill tribe experiences, soft adventure (cycling and white water rafting) and Trekking. Our prices include accommodation in comfortable king-size or twin bedded rooms with en-suite bathrooms (where applicable), electric fans (non air-conditioned), meals and drinks as specified in the programs, as well as English speaking tour guides / local Lisu guides.
