Global Tourism Economy Forum Explores New Business Matching Possibilities at ITB China - TRAVELINDEXShanghai (China) – May 24, 2019 (travelindex.com) – Global Tourism Economic Research Centre continues its promotion of Global Tourism Economy Forum at ITB CHINA for consecutive years. Held at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on May 15-17, the Centre leveraged ITB CHINA 2019 to initiate contact with over 850 designated Chinese buyers, overseas tourism enterprises and organizations. GTERC made an engaging presentation about the Forum with interactive games at its booth. Prominent local and international tourism enterprises such as Air China, China International Travel Service (CITS), China Travel Service (CTS), tuniu.com, LY.COM, mafengwo.cn, CITS American Express Global Business Travel, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Plaza Premium Group, as well as news and trade media agencies such as PR Newswire and cn.nytimes.com, were familiarized with the GTEF’s role as an effective tourism cooperation and exchange platform bringing China to the world and vice versa. Program details of GTEF 2019 and related events were also introduced convincing key tourism stakeholders to capitalize opportunities brought by the Forum.

During the fair, GTERC also attended a pre-event business matching workshop organized by European Tourism Association (ETOA) to deepen mutual cooperation. Besides, GTERC also met representatives of European Travel Commission (ETC) and attended in working meetings with GTEF 2019 Partner Countries Argentina and Brazil to discuss collaboration details.

GTEF is the top-notch international exchange and cooperation platform designed to promote sustainable development of the global tourism industry with a focus on China, utilizing Macao as a bridge between China and the world to connect people and forge partnerships, as well as a strategic tourism hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
