Best Western Scoops Prestigious TTG Awards 2015

best-western-hotels-asia-ttg-awards-bangkokBangkok (Thailand) – October 5, 2015 (travelindex) – Best Western Hotels & Resorts scooped two prestigious honors at the TTG Travel Awards 2015, including being named Asia’s “Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand” for a staggering ninth year in a row. In a glittering ceremony in Bangkok on Thursday night, Best Western once again took the title of “Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand”, as voted for by the readers of TTG Asia, the leading travel trade magazine. And the company also won the “Best Trade Supporter” award – a prestigious honor that forms part of TTG Asia’s “Outstanding Achievement Awards”.

Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s Managing Director of International Operations, Asia, said the two awards demonstrated Best Western’s enduring commitment to Asia’s travel trade.

“We are absolutely delighted to have been honored once again at the TTG Awards,” said Mr. Berrivin. “The midscale hotel sector is now an incredibly crowded marketplace, so to have been crowned Asia’s Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand for nine consecutive years is an incredible achievement for Best Western.

“In recent years Best Western has evolved our hotel products in Asia, opening a series of exciting new hotels across the region and rolling out several new initiatives. Receiving this award is a seal of approval from the travel trade; a reflection that the positive changes we are making are being welcomed by the industry. It gives us great confidence moving forward,” he added.

Mr. Berrivin also said that he was deeply honored that Best Western was named ‘Best Trade Supporter’ at the TTG Awards 2015.

“This award is a tremendous accolade for Best Western and one we are extremely proud of. We have always valued and supported the travel trade in Asia, and I am delighted that our industry partners recognize our efforts,” Mr. Berrivin said.

“Our travel trade partners in Asia are the best ambassadors a company could possibly have. Their customers become our guests, so there has to be a strong level of trust between us. I look forward to deepening our relationship in future,” he asserted.
The two awards rounded off a remarkable week for Best Western, in which it also revealed a new company name, Best Western Hotels & Resorts, a new collection of brand logos, and a new hotel concept, GLo.
