Direct Force Gives Back to the Community
Knoxville, TN (USA) – 8 April 2012 – Direct Force Enterprises, Inc., a Knoxville based promotional sales and marketing firm held their first charity event of 2012. They put together a corn hole tournament and cookout for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation. Twenty employees, friends, affiliates, and family members attended and joined together to promote the great cause. They were able to raise a generous amount to be donated to the Foundation. The President, Leslie Forsling, had this to say, “Giving back to the community is something that I was brought up with. I love the fact that people can come together, have a great time and change something for the better. Charity events will be a continuous focus in my company; it’s something that myself and my team believe in strongly. We’re already planning our next event- it will be a 50/50 raffle with the Atlanta Braves.”
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation started in 2003 and has helped more than 100 survivors. Leukemia and Lymphoma are amid the most curable types of cancers. Considering that these two particular forms of cancer affect people in mid-life, the economic damage can be disastrous. Through the donated funds, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation pay either the total or partial cost of treatment to help the individual.
