Thailand Congratulates Thai Cycling Champion
Bangkok (Thailand) – October 21, 2014 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Thai Cycling Association (TCA) are discussing ways to promote bicycle tourism in the country with the key objectives of encouraging eco- and community-based tourism.
The move followed the meeting between TAT Governor Mr. Thawatchai Arunyik and TCA President Air Chief Marshall Chanin Chandrubeksa last week. Also present at the meeting were two Thai cycling gold medallists at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, and TCA board members.
Thai-American cyclist Ms. Amanda Mildred Carr won the women’s BMX event while another Thai cyclist Ms. Jutathip Maneephan won the women’s 126 km cycling road race at the 17th Asian Games.
TAT and TCA are currently working on details of the co-promotion on bicycle tourism activities, which will be in line with the TAT’s new campaign to promote travelling in a way of Thainess in 2015, which is planned to be launched soon.
