DrukAir Flying to Singapore and Mumbai

Paro (Kingdom of Bhutan) – February 1, 2012 – DrukAir (KB) The National Airline of the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan has released their new Summer Schedules for flights operating effective 15 May – 27 October 2012.

The new schedules include new International destinations of Bombay, (Mumbai), and Singapore.

There will also be new services operated Domestically within Bhutan.

As well as Paro, the new services will include flights from Paro to Bumthang and Yongphula.

DrukAir was established by Royal Proclamation in April 1981 and commenced operations in 1983.

DrukAir is the only airline linking Bhutan and the International is located at Paro which is approximately 55Kms from the capital, Thimphu.

Flights to and from the following International destinations cities are currently operated by
Druk Air from Paro.

Kathmandu, Delhi, Kolkata, Gaya, Bagdogarah, Dacca, Bangkok.

The new destinations will be Bombay, Singapore.

The new flights to Singapore will operate every Wednesday and Saturday, with the routing
Paro- Calcutta-Singapore, returning every Thursday and Sunday Singapore, Calcutta, Paro.

“The new Singapore services to and from Paro will open more opportunities for connecting flights via Singapore as well as the existing services from Bangkok,” said John Boyd, GSA for Drukair, Australia & New Zealand and SW Pacific.

The new Bombay services will operate every Tuesday and Thursday as Paro – Bombay, returning the same days Bombay – Paro.

Paro – Bangkok will operate 8 services weekly, with a non stop operation Paro – Bangkok every Monday with return Bangkok – Paro same day.
