Caribbean Airlines Nonstop to London

Trinidad, West Indies – 25 June 2012 – Caribbean Airlines, the region’s leading carrier, is now bringing Europe closer to Trinidad with the commencement of its nonstop service to Gatwick, United Kingdom, which took to the air on Friday, June 15, 2012.

Connecting the London hub to Trinidad’s vibrant Piarco International Airport, the airline will operate a twice-weekly service, which will depart on Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive in the UK on Fridays and Sundays. Flights from London will depart on Fridays and Sundays at 1250 (UK time) and on arrival in Trinidad, passengers can access connections to Barbados, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela, Antigua, Grenada, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, and Jamaica, which adds to the convenience of this service.

The airline is committed to this service and will be working along with Trinidad and Tobago’s Tourism Development Company to ensure that there are more opportunities for increasing tourism traffic from Europe to not only Trinidad and Tobago, but to the region.

Accounting for 62 percent of all arrivals into Tobago, the UK market is extremely important to Trinidad and Tobago. When one factors the entire European market, this percentage increases to 84 percent. Therefore, for visitors to have another option to access our beautiful twin islands, is certainly a plus.
