Hayman Newest Hotspot on Great Barrier Reef

news_05 Feb. 24, 2013Sydney (Australia) – February 23, 2013 – Hayman is proving it’s not just a hot holiday spot but a literal ‘hotspot’ on the tourism technology scene this year following the completion of a progressive Internet technology installation by Asia Pacific IT solutions specialists, McLaren Technologies.

Thanks to its fresh IT update, Hayman, Australia’s most awarded private island resort and a member of the prestigious organization The Leading Hotels of the World, now offers a menu of three different Internet access options to best suit guests’ needs. Internet access options now include comprehensive high-speed in-room connection, convenient hotspot plans, and a free limited speed facility for the benefit of all visitors.

In addition to being presented with three Internet options, guests will also be presented with a portal featuring current hotel information and immediate one-click access to popular social media channels.

McLaren Technologies Managing Director Matthew White said Hayman’s new Internet menu reflects the resort’s commitment to presenting a luxurious and ‘of the moment’ tailored service and experience for its varied leisure and corporate guests.

“In consultation with Hayman, we decided that a Nomadix-enabled network presented the best solution to create truly ubiquitous Internet and connectivity options for the island,” said Mr. White. “Nomadix’s products have dependable functionality, which we felt was a prime consideration in regards to Hayman’s idyllic yet remote Great Barrier Reef island destination. And most importantly, Nomadix functionality can also operate in both wired and Wi-Fi networks providing maximum flexibility for the operator and the end user.”

General Manager Scott Murray said, “Hayman offers a front-row seat to the Great Barrier Reef and a world of leisure and adventure. While it’s true that some guests love to escape the trapping of the city and day-to-day life while staying with us, most actually do like to stay connected and of course share their experiences in this stunning destination. McLaren’s new suite of Nomadix Internet options is a subtle yet highly effective enhancement that will help our guests stay connected during their time on Hayman.”

Hayman is owned and operated by Mulpha Australia Limited and is a member of the prestigious organization The Leading Hotels of the World. For more, visit www.hayman.com.au.
