Announcing Solin 2016, Three International Events

Solin (Croatia) – February 29, 2016 (travelindex) – In the city of Solin, next to the ancient Salona Roman castrum, a few kilometers from Split, this year (for the seventh time in continuity) three International tourism, film festival, landscape events will be held: 23rd INTERSTAS / International Festival of Tourism, Film and Landscape, 19 ITF’CRO / International Tourism Film Festival and 14th KEA-CRO / presentation of Croatian cities and towns/villages for LANDSCAPE GOLDEN FLOWER. All three events will take place from November 9th to November 12th, 2016 in hotel President Solin. Manifestation will be suported by: World and European Federation of tourism journalism, film, sustainable development – F.I.J.E.T., F.E.S.T., I.T.C.O., BiC, main host – hotel “President” Solin, sponsored by the City of Solin and Mayor Blaženko Boban, and since 2015 under the auspices of the Croatian President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.

As a part of the 23rd INTERSTAS / International Folklore Tourism, Film and Landscape – International Club of Merted in Tourism, and 19th International Tourism Film Festival, – ITF’CRO, a 34th European prize for tourism – CHARTER FEST, and 14th International Award for Tourist – GOLDEN INTERSTAS will be given. This reputable international acknowledgement will be given to those who have contributed to the promotion of tourism at different levels. Prizes that used to be awarded in various European towns (Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, Austria …), now are being awarded in Croatia, Split/Solin for 14 years already, which is the international centre of Adriatic tourism. This was announced at a press conference, by the Director of the manifestation, Vojko Pleština, and honorary president, Antonio Conte.

After announcement of the competition, 23rd INTERSTAS 2016 is expecting nominee proposals from various countries this year as well; individuals, companies, associations, and their nomination for some of the renowned international tourism awards SPECIAL AWARD, CHARTES F.E.S.T. 2016, GOLDEN INTERSTAS 2016, and certificate – nomination for Croatian candidate for LANDSCAPE GOLDEN FLOWER 2016. Candidacy and reasoning is based on their internationally approved projects and developmental programs, tourist offer and presentation, as well as cultural, spiritual, and etc. projects and programs in the function of promoting and improving tourism. Based on the submitted candidacies and expositions for every individual and organization which will be presented at the 23rd INTERSTAS 2016. according to the propositions of the awards, INTERSTAS board of directors, and F.E.S.T. main board shall make final decision for prestigious international tourism awards. Nominations are based on the high quality of work, as well as recognizing the creativity of individual and collective contributions, which through their professional, expert, scientific and practical work activities directly or indirectly promote the tourist offer and thus contribute to the development of tourism, which certainly contributes to the prosperity, quality of life improvement and better understanding among people and nations, and thus confirm the justification of awarding these prizes. Among the 2016. laureates, prominent individuals and institutions, we are expecting the foremost in their domain of activity this year as well, such as last year’s: VITEŠKO ALKARSKO DRUŠTVO Sinj, Croatia, RAI, Rome, Italy, Travelindex, Hong Kong…

At the 19th International Tourism Film Festival – ITF’CRO, from more than 60 countries from all continents, over 300 films are expected this year as well, in the competition for one of the festival awards, the Croatian national award “Baldo Cupic”, and the Grand Prix. By the decision of the International Jury of the Festival, along with special awards and diplomas, main prizes will be awarded; for best director, screenplay, music, picture and mounting as well as TROPHY “DUJAM” and GRAND PRIX – ITF’CRO 2016. All winning films will be placed on the Travelindex portal and travel channel. CERTIFICATE for LANDSCAPE GOLDEN FLOWER 2016., SPECIAL AWARDS 2016., GOLDEN INTERSTAS 2016., CHARTERS F.E.S.T. 2016., festival awards and Grand Prix ITF’CRO 2016., will be hand in at the closing ceremony in the Hotel President Solin, on Friday, November 11th 2016.

As in previous years, in 2016 as well, in elegant President Hotel, along film festival screenings, presentation of cities and towns for “Landscape Golden Flower”, presenting the laureate-winners of international tourism awards GOLDEN INTERSTAS, different booths will be displayed with the intention of presenting the Croatian tourist offer, as well as other countries, among them Italy, with the slogan “taste of Italy“. We welcome all laureates to International Club merited for tourism development.
